Recommend to approve an exchange of services agreement between the Galion City School District and Mount Vernon Nazarene University for the purpose of providing field and student teaching experiences, effective May 1, 2018 until terminated, as attached:
Recommend to approve the attached 2017-2018 revised District Calendar. Revisions include adding a staff professional development day on May 11, 2018 and removing a previously scheduled 2-hour delay on May 16, 2018.
The Galion City School District Board of Education enhances the educational program for educationally disadvantaged students with the use of federal funding. Title I funding ensures that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on Ohio's challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. A complete copy of Galion's Title I Services Policy 2261, Parents Participation in Title Programs Policy 2261.01, and Parent's Right to Know Policy 2261.02 are linked below.
Recommend to approve the non-renewal of all individuals holding a supplemental or extra-duty contract with the district at the conclusion of the 2017-2018 school year.
