Meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM
Mr. Grubbs recognized all guests present at the meeting.
Grant the Believe, Achieve, and Succeed Award to Matt Tyrrell
Notes to the Basic Financial Statement, Note 10 - Capital Assets (page 40) and Note 17 - Long Term Obligations (page 52)
Approve the employment of the following personnel contingent upon subsequent receipt by the Board of a satisfactory criminal record check from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Federal Bureau of Investigation as required by law and applicable state certification:
Accept the retirement resignation of Margie Sebrell, Primary School Secretary, effective July 1, 2017 with June 30, 2017 being the last day of employment.
Accept the retirement resignation of Jeff Shipman, Maintenance Department, effective July 1, 2017 with June 30, 2017 being the last day of employment.
Accept the retirement resignation of Cathy Jo Brown, Intermediate School Cook, effective August 1, 2017 with July 31, 2017 being the last day of employment.
Approve the employment of Christopher Lewis as Custodian at the Galion Intermediate School, effective December 5, 2016. Salary to be based upon the Custodian Salary Schedule for the 2016-2017 school year.
Approve the employment of Elizabeth Rutledge, Administrative Office Executive Secretary/ EMIS Coordinator, effective December 12, 2016. Salary to be based upon the Administrative Office Executive Secretary/ EMIS Coordinator Salary Schedule for the 2016-2017 school year.
Approve the following classified substitute personnel, *contingent upon state certification as applicable to position, for the 2016-2017 school year:

Approve the second read of the Board Bylaws and Policies as attached.
Recommend the Board elect a President Pro-Tem for the Organizational Meeting in January to lead the meeting until the Board elects the President for 2017.
Dennis Long nominated and approved at the President Pro-Tem for the Janualr Organizational Meeting.
Recommend the Board set the date for the Organizational Meeting of the Galion City Board of Education for Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at the Galion Middle School Computer Lab.
Amended to include: Regular Board of Education meeting for January, 2017 will take place immediately following the Organizational Meeting on January 12, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Galion Middle School Computer Lab.
