Recommend awarding Mark J. Stefanik, Superintendent, a contract effective August 1, 2013 through July 31, 2016
per the superintendent salary range and conditions of the contract.
Approve the employment of the following personnel contingent upon subsequent receipt by the Board of a satisfactory criminal record check from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Federal Bureau of Investigation as required by law and applicable state certification:
Approve one-year teaching contracts for the following, effective with the start of the 2013-2014 school year; salary to be based on the Teachers' Salary Schedule for the 2013-2014 school year:
Mandy M. Beeman, Primary Elementary Intervention Specialist
David C. Miller, High School Business Teacher
Approve Fred Beachy, Primary Elementary School Custodian
Approve Lupe Campo as a Crossing Guard at the rate of $9.23 per hour at three hours per day for each day students are in attendance per the school calendar approved annually by the Board.

Approve Middle School Student Fees for the 2013-2014 School Year as attached.
Recommend the Board of Education approve the attached list of adjustments to the 2012-13 FY Estimated Resources.
Recommend the Board of Education approve the attached list of adjustments to the 2012-13 FY Final Ammended Appropriations.
Recommend the Board of Education approve the attached list of Estimated Resources for the 2013-14 FY and the Temporary Appropriations for the 2013-14 FY.
Recommend the Board of Education approve the attached advances of funds to be returned to the originating account upon receipt of 2013-14 dollars and transfers of funds to clear negative balances in accounts as per attached list of adjustments.
Approve a one-year Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Galion Education Association effective August 15, 2013 through August 14, 2014 to include a zero percent salary increase on the base.
Approve a one-year Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Ohio Association of Public School Employees Local #370 from Juy 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014 to include a zero percent increase on the base salary.
Approve that compensation and benefit levels for the Administrative Support Staff will be equivalent to those approved for the Ohio Association of Public Employees Local #370 members from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.
Approve the Second Read of the attached Board Policy for Substitute Secretaries at the Administrative Center.
In addition to the recommendation for the Board of Education to approve the 2nd read of the substitute policy, it is recommended that the Board of Education also approve an hourly rate of $12.00 to be paid to substitutes filling the administrative support positions.
It is also recommended that the Board of Education agree to make a change to the verbage of the policy to give authority to hire administrative support positions to the Superintendent and/or Treasurer for positions that are responsible to the Administrative office and/or Treasurer's office.
Approve the following Board of Education Policies specific to the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System and Ohio Principals Evaluation System.
Recommend first reading of the Sports Medicine Curriculum, a new HS semester course. At this time there is no textbook for the course.
