Recommend to accept a $5,000 donation from the Galion City Schools Booster Club, $2,500 for Football, Baseball, Soccer and Softball Field Maintenance and $2,500 for Athletic Uniforms.
Recommend to accept $3000 worth of golf equipment for the Girls Golf Team from Terry and Joanna Barre.
Recommend to accept $600 worth of golf balls for the Girls Golf Team from George Guins.
Recommend to accept donation of $2,500 from Galion High School Class of 1952 for Classroom Door Locks, as part of the matching grant requirement for the Ohio BWC School Safety and Security Grant.
Recommend to accept donation of $4,000 from the American Legion Post 243, to be allocated to the Negative Lunch Balance Fund and to the Campus Wear Fund.
Recommend to approve compensation for the following Certified Staff for training during the summer:
Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale, per Negotiated Agreement, for Lindsey Gribble, Galion Primary School Teacher, from Bachelors + 12 to Masters, effective August 29, 2019.
Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale, per Negotiated Agreement, for Tina Crim, Galion Primary School Teacher, from Bachelors to Bachelors + 12, effective September 3, 2019.
Recommend to approve a change in placement on the pay scale, per Negotiated Agreement, for Michelle Talbott, Intermediate School Teacher, from Masters + 15 to Masters +30, effective September 5, 2019.
Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Julie Fackler, Primary School Teacher, effective August 1, 2020.
Recommend to approve Judy Cortelletti as a Short Term Technology Assistant for the 2019-2020 school year at the rate of $18.00 per hour.

Approve the transportation by school conveyance is impractical for the following student during the 2019-2020 school year; further agree to pay the parent or guardian of said student in lieu of providing such service, amount to be calculated by the Ohio Department of Education for the 2019-2020 school year and as per Section 3327.01 of the Ohio Revised Code:
Recommend to approve tuition agreements between the Galion City School District and The Center for Autism & Dyslexia (Catapult), for the purpose of providing specialized services to students in need, effective for the 2019-2020 school year.
Recommend to approve the contract service agreement between the Galion City School District and Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, effective for the 2019-2020 school year, for the purpose of providing a Family Engagement Coordinator to the District, as attached:
Recommend to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the Galion City School District and the City of Galion/Galion City Police Department for the School Resource Officer Program, as attached:
Recommend to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the Galion Board of Education and the Galion Educational Association regarding Extra-Duty Assignments, as attached:
Recommend to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the Galion Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 regarding bus driver compensation, as attached:
WHEREAS, the Ohio Revised Code, Section 4511.191, (L)(2)(e), currently known as the DUI Law, established the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Grants Fund to be housed and administered by the Office of the Attorney General of Ohio; and
WHEREAS, the primary purpose of the D.A.R.E. Grants Program is to assist in providing funds to local law enforcement agencies, specifically for the salaries of certified D.A.R.E. officers teaching, or planning to teach, the approved D.A.R.E. curriculum in the local schools; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Galion City Board of Education to avail ourselves of the opportunities provided by this program and to participate with complete commitment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Galion City Board of Education, Galion, Ohio the majority of all members elected or appointed thereto concurring that:
Section 1: The Galion City Board of Education supports all efforts by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department to pursue funding to implement the D.A.R.E. Program in the Galion City Schools.

Recommend to approve the following High School Band and Choir trips for the 2019-2020 school year:
Recommend to approve a fundraiser for Terri Keckler's class in the Middle School. Mrs. Keckler's class will be running a Coffee Cart every Friday, selling coffee to the building teachers. The goal is for the students to obtain the functional and vocational skills of preparing foods, service skills and money counting. The class would like to raise money to offset the cost of an end of the year field trip.
Recommend to approve fundraising/sponsorship for Spooktacular, an annual Trick or Treating event held on October 24, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Galion Middle School. This event is a great extension of our school’s character education program, The Leader in Me. It provides students with opportunities to show leadership, build community relationships, and also make the transition from elementary school easier for students and families. In order to make the Spooktacular a success, we have reached out to area businesses to be part of this event as sponsors.
