    Recommend to amend resolution 10.2 from the June 20, 2017 board minutes by replacing the approved FY18 agreement between Galion City Schools and Mid-Ohio Educational Sevice Center with the attached, revised agreement:


    8. AGREEMENTS

    8.1 NCOCC- Assistant Technology Coordinator 2017-2018

    Recommend to approve the contract service agreement between the Galion City School District and Midland COG (NCOCC), effective July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, for the purpose of providing an Assistant Technology Coordinator to the District, as attached:


    8.2 Ashland University- Exchange of Services Agreement

    Recommend to approve a five-year partnership agreement between the Galion City School District and Ashland University for the purpose of participating in the exchange of services for field experiences and internships, as attached:


    8.3 2017-2018 Ohio Heartland CAC Head Start

    Recommend to approve an inter-agency agreement between the Galion City School District, Crawford County Schools and Crawford County Agencies with the Ohio Heartland Community Action Head Start, effective July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, as attached:


    8.4 2017-2018 Memo of Understanding- Ohio Heartland CAC Head Start

    Recommend to approve a Memo of Understanding between the Galion City School District, Crawford County Schools and Crawford County Agencies with the Ohio Heartland Community Action Head Start, effective July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, as attached:


    8.5 MOU- OAPSE- Classified Staff Supplementals

    Recommend to approve a Memo of Understanding between the Galion City School District and OAPSE Local #370, for the purpose of documenting the parties’ agreement to discontinue any and all practices with respect to the employment of OAPSE employees for supplemental contract positions in the District, starting with the 2017-2018 contract year, as attached:


    8.6 MOU- GEA/OAPSE- Exclusion- Classified Staff Supplemental

    Recommend to approve a Memo of Understanding between the Galion City School District, Galion Education Association , and OAPSE Local #370, for the purpose of documenting the parties’ agreement to continue the supplemental contract position of Head Golf Coach, as per the provisions of Appendix B-1, Galion Schools Index Ratio for Extra Duty Schedule of the existing GEA Negotiated Agreement (effective August 15, 2016-August 14, 2019), exclusive to the 2017-2018 school year only, as attached:


    8.7 MOU- GEA- Addendum to Article IV

    Recommend to approve a Memo of Understanding between the Galion City School District and the Galion Education Association, for the purpose of entering into an agreement to amend Article IV of the existing GEA Negotiated Agreement (effective August 15, 2016-August 14, 2019), as attached:


    9. SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATIONS- PERSONNEL

    9.1 Certified Extra-Duty Assignments

    Recommend to approve the following Extra-Duty Assignments for the 2017-2018 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Compensation to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:

    9.2 Athletic Extra-Duty Assignments

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Mike Moore, Varsity Assistant Football Coach, effective June 26, 2017.

    Recommend to approve the following Athletic Extra-Duty Assignments for the 2017-2018 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Compensation to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:

    • Todd Eagle- Football- Varsity Assistant
    • Bradley Bowron- Girls Soccer- Volunteer Varsity
    • Anna Matney- Fall Cheerleading- Head Varsity
    • Anna Matney- Winter Cheerleading- Head Varsity
    • Angie Campbell- Girls Soccer- Volunteer Varsity
    • Emma Park- Volleyball- 8th Grade

    9.3 Classified

    Recommend to approve the employment of Jason E. Bash, District Maintenance, effective July 24, 2017, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the postion. Salary to be based upon the OAPSE Local #370 Maintenance Salary Schedule for the 2017-2018 school year.

    Recommend to approve employment of the following classified substitute personnel, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position for the 2017-2018 school year:

    10.4 Update- Board Policy 2413- Career Advising

    Recommend to update and approve the attached, current Board Policy 2413, regarding Career Advising.
