Recommend to accept a $75,000 donation from the City of Galion Freese Foundation for the express purpose of replacing football field light fixtures at Unckrich Stadium, Heise Park.
Recommend to accept a $53,500 donation from the City of Galion Health Department for the express purpose of compliance with contact tracing requirements as a result of the global pandemic.
Recommend to approve the following as Home Instruction Tutors for the 2020-2021 school year at the rate of $20.00 per hour:
Recommend to approve compensation in the amount of $20 per hour, for up to 60 hours, for additional counselor work for the Galion High School for the following Certified Staff:
Recommend to approve the final read of the 2021-2022 Galion City Schools district calendar, as attached:
Recommend to approve a resolution recognizing January 2021 as Ohio School Board Recognition Month, as attached:
Recommend to approve membership renewals for calendar year 2021 with the attached organizations and associations:
The Galion City School District Board of Education enhances the educational program for educationally disadvantaged students with the use of federal funding. Title I funding ensures that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on Ohio's challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. A complete copy of Galion's Title I Services Policy 2261, Parents Participation in Title Programs Policy 2261.01, and Parent's Right to Know Policy 2261.02 are attached below:
Recommend to grant permission for Indoor Track Athletes to compete at the state championships held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, OH, date to be determined.
