WHEREAS the Budget Commission of Crawford County, Ohio, has received the necessary tax information from all political subdivisions for the next succeeding fiscal year commencing January 1, 2021; and

WHEREAS the Budget Commission of Crawford County, Ohio, has received from each entity the necessary information to establish said rates; and

WHEREAS the Budget Commission of Crawford County, Ohio, has certified its action thereon to this political subdivision together with an estimate by the County Auditor of the rate of each tax necessary to be levied by this political subdivision and what part thereof is without, and what part within, the ten mill limitation;

THEREFORE be it resolved by Galion City School District that the amounts and rates, as determined by the Budget Commission in its certification, be and the same are hereby accepted; and

THEREFORE be it further resolved that there be and is hereby levied on the tax duplicate of said County the rate if each tax necessary to be levied within and without the ten mill limitation as indicated above; and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Galion City School District approved said rates on October 20, 2020.

Recommend to accept an anonymous donation in the amount of $2000 to be used for spirit wear T-shirts at Galion High School.

Recommend to accept a donation from the Crawford County Commissioners in the amount of $6300 from the Coronavirus Relief Funds for Sixty (60) Mobile HotSpots and Data.

Recommend to approve sponsorship and accept donations for Spooktacular, an annual Trick or Treating event held on October 29, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Galion Middle School.  This event is a great extension of our school’s character education program, The Leader in Me.  It provides students with opportunities to show leadership, build community relationships, and also make the transition from elementary school easier for students and families.  In order to make the Spooktacular a success, we have reached out to area businesses to be part of this event as sponsors.

Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Sara Palmer, Primary School Teacher, effective at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of David Rinehart, High School Teacher, effective May 27, 2021.

Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Stephanie Kiger, Intermediate School Teacher, effective July 31, 2021.

Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale for Sarah Wegesin, Galion Primary School Teacher, from Masters to Masters + 15, effective with the first pay of the current contract year, per Article X of the Negotiated Agreement.

Recommend to issue an amended contract to Isaac Keinath, High School Teacher, from a Limited Contract (2nd year of a first 2 year contract) to a Continuing Contract.

Recommend to approve the following Certified Extra-Duty Assignments for the 2020-2021 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Compensation to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:

Recommend to approve the employment of Jennifer Marsh, Middle School Custodian, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule for the 2020-2021 school year.

Recommend to approve the agreement between the Galion City School District and Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, effective August 1, 2020 through July 31, 2021, for the purpose of providing services to the District to comply with the Title IX grievance process, as attached:

Recommend to approve tuition agreements between the Galion City School District and The Center for Autism & Dyslexia (Catapult), for the purpose of providing specialized services to students in need, effective for the 2020-2021 school year.

Recommend to approve an agreement between the Galion City School District and Ashland University for the purpose of participating in the exchange of services for field experiences and internships, as attached:
