Recognition of students from the Primary School:
Elementary Music Teacher Alisha Griffin, along with several students, will demonstrate what they are learning in Elementary Music class.
High School Art Teacher Linda Wilson will present art work from the following students that will be submitted to the Governor's Show:

Due to Brian Owens attending the January 2020 Organizational Meeting via teleconference, the Oath of Office for Re-Elected Board Member and Vice President is administered to Mr. Owens.
Recommend to transfer $40,813.44 from the General Fund to the Energy Conservation Improvement Bond Fund representing the principal and interest payments for the Energy Conservation Bonds.
Recommend to accept a $1,500 donation from the American Legion Post 243 Galion, Ohio for Educational Field Trips.
Recommend to accept a $100 donation for the Galion Boosters Club for the High School Band Account.
Recommend to accept the resignation of Superintendent Jim Grubbs, currently on a Limited Administrative contract, effective July 31, 2020.
Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale for Corwin Ratliff, Galion Intermediate School Teacher, from Bachelors + 12 to Bachelors + 24, effective with the 14th pay of the contract year (February 28, 2020), per Article X of the Negotiated Agreement.
Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale for Rich Ulmer, Galion Middle School Teacher, from Bachelors + 12 to Masters, effective with the 14th pay of the contract year (February 28, 2020), per Article X of the Negotiated Agreement.
Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale for Alison Weltmer, Galion Middle School Teacher, from Bachelors to Bachelors + 12, effective with the 14th pay of the contract year (February 28, 2020), per Article X of the Negotiated Agreement.

Recommend to approve employment of the following Classified Substitute Personnel, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position for the 2019-2020 school year:
Recommend to approve the following Classified Employees for Summer 2020 Kindergarten Boot Camp Aides, to be paid per the salary schedule as adopted by the OAPSE #370 Negotiated Agreement:
Recommend to approve the employment of Allison Kiss as Secretary II, High School Attendance Secretary/Central Registrar, effective March 2, 2020. Salary to be based upon the OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule for the 2019-2020 school year.

Authorize the Treasurer, on behalf of the Board of Education, to initiate small claims court filing against Main Street Tours, Inc., in regards to dispute involving financial item occurring during calendar year 2019, and which is unresolved. The Board of Education authorizes the Treasurer to take this action pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 3313.17 and Board Bylaw 0122.
Recommend to approve the agreement between the Galion City School District and Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, effective for January 17, 2020, for CPI Training, as attached:
Recommend to approve the contract service agreement between the Galion City School District and Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, effective for the 2019-2020 school year, for the purpose of providing Professional Development services for Galion St. Joseph School, as attached:
Recommend to approve an agreement between the Galion City School District and North Central State College, for the purpose of providing higher education opportunities to qualified learners within the District, effective for the 2020-2021 school year, as attached:
The Galion City School District Board of Education enhances the educational program for educationally disadvantaged students with the use of federal funding. Title I funding ensures that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on Ohio's challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.
