    6. BOARD OF EDUCATION RECOMMENDATION

    Recommend awarding Charlene Parkinson, Treasurer, a contract effective August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2019 per the Treasurer Salary range and conditions of the contract.


    7. SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATIONS - PERSONNEL

    Approve the employment of the following personnel contingent upon subsequent receipt by the Board of a satisfactory criminal record check from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Federal Bureau of Investigation as required by law and applicable state certification:


    7.1 Administration

    CANDIDATE WITHDREW HER NAME AT APPROXIMATELY 3:00 PM JUNE 16, 2016  WITHDRAW THE APPROVAL OF EMPLOYMENT  of Michelle L. Howard as Galion Intermediate School Student Support Services Specialist, effective August 1, 2016. Salary to be based upon the Student Support Services Specialist Salary Schedule for the 2016-2017 school year.

    Approve Heather R. Carney as School Psychologist, effective August 1, 2016. Salary to be based upon the School Psychologist Salary Schedule for the 2016-2017 school year.

    Approve the employment of Kimberly D. Pfleiderer as Assistant Food Service Director/Human Resource Support Staff, effective June 29, 2016. Salary to be based upon the Assistant Food Service Director/Human Resource Support Staff Salary Schedule for the 2016-2017 school year.  


    7.2 Certified Resignation

    Accept the resignation of Brittany Hardman, Galion Middle School Intervention Specialist Teacher, effective at the end of the 2015-2016 contractual school year.

    Approve the employment of Lindsey Gribble as a Preschool Teacher at the Galion Primary School, effective the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year. Salary to be based upon the Teacher Salary Schedule for the 2016-2017 school year.

    Approve the employment of Isaac Keinath as the Galion Middle School Gateway to Technology Teacher, effective the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year. Salary to be based upon the Teacher Salary Schedule for the 2016-2017 school year.


    7.4 Classified - Resignation

    Accept the resignation of Kimberly D. Pfleiderer as Transportation Secretary, effective June 28, 2016.

    Approve the employment of Casey Weaver as an Educational Assistant at the Galion Primary School, effective the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year. Salary to be based upon the Educational Assistant Salary Schedule for the 2016-2017 school year.

    Approve the employment of Marianne Thorpe as an Educational Assistant for Preschool at the Galion Primary School, effective the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year. Salary to be based upon the Educational Assistant Salary Schedule for the 2016-2017 school year.

    7.7 Local Professional Development Committee

    Authorize the Treasurer to pay committee memebers $450.00 and the Chairperson $700.00. The GEA members are appointed by the Association President (with approval of the executive committee). The Superintendent appoints administrative members. The members for the 2016-2017 school year are as follows:

    7.8 Summer Help 2016

    Approve the following seasonal help for Summer 2016 for up to 68 days of grounds keeping at a rate of minimum wage per hour:

    8. FINANCIAL RECOMMENDATIONS

    8.1 AMENDED CERTIFICATE OF ESTIMATED RESOURCES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016

    8.4 Fiscal Year End 2016 Transfers

    Approval for the Treasurer to transfer funds as necessary to successfully close the books and records of the District for Fiscal Year 2016, with full reporting and disclosure of Fiscal Year End 2016 closing transfers at the regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting in July, 2016.

    Approve the agreement with Avita for Athletic Trainer services as attached.

    Approve an agreement with Statzhub for a web and mobile application.


    10. GALION LOCAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE - HANDBOOK

    Approve a first read on the revised Galion Local Professional Development Handbook as attached.


    11. POSITION

    Adopt the Director of Teaching, Learning, and Instruction administrative position. 


    12. BOARD BYLAWS AND POLICIES

    Approve the Second Read of the Board Bylaws and Policies as attached.


    13. EXECUTIVE SESSION

    An executive session is requested for one or more of the following matters to:

    _____ a. consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or to consider the investigations of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee or "regulated individual"; unless the person being investigated of charges or complaints requests a public hearing;
