Miss Genevieve Mann, Sixth Grade, Galion Middle School, delivered  a well researched and thought out presentation on the use of reusable versus disposable cafeteria trays. Mrs. Kuns appreciated Miss Mann's preparation and willingness to share her findings with the Board  of Education.

6. SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATIONS - PERSONNEL

Approve the employment of the following personnel contingent upon subsequent receipt by the Board of a satisfactory criminal record check from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Federal Bureau of Investigation as required by law and applicable state certification:


6.1 Classified

Approve the employment of Kimberly D. Pfleiderer as Part Time Transportation Secretary II, effective December 1, 2015. Salary to be based upon the Secretary II Pay Scale for the 2015-2016 school year.

Approve the employment of Pamela Martin as Bus Driver, effective December 14, 2015. Salary to be based upon the Bus Driver Pay Scale for the 2015-2016 school year.


6.2 Extra-Duty Assignments

Approve the following Extra-Duty Assignments for the 2015-2016 school year:

Approve Judy Cortelletti for the Lead Mentor for Resident Educators Mentoring Program for the 2015-2016 school year, to be paid $600.00 per the negotiated agreement.

11.1 Organizational Meeting

Recommend the Board set the date for the Organizational Meeting of the Galion City Board of Education for Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Galion Middle School Computer Lab.

Amended to inclued: Regular Board of Education meeting for January, 2016 will take place immediately following the organizational Meeting on January 14, 2016 at 6:30 PM at the Gaion Middle School Computer Lab.


11.2 President Pro-Tem Appointment

Recommend the Board elect a President Pro-Tem for the Organizational Meeting in January to lead the meeting until the Board elects the President for 2016.
