    Recommend to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the Galion City School District, Crawford County Schools and Crawford County Agencies with the Ohio Heartland Community Action Head Start, effective July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022. as attached:

    Recommend to accept an American Flag from the Galion VFW for the Galion Middle School.

    6. ADDENDUM ITEM - EXECUTIVE SESSION

    An executive session is requested for one or more of the following matters to:
    __XX_ a. consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official; 

    _____ b.  consider the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, "regulated individual," or student; unless the person being investigated of charges or complaints requests a public hearing;

    7.1 Addendum Item - Certified

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Taylor Smith, Intermediate School Teacher, effective December 31, 2022.

     


    7.2 Classified

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Leslie Ramey, Bus Driver, effective December 9, 2022.

    Recommend to approve employment of the following Classified Substitute Personnel, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position, for the 2022-2023 school year:

    7.3 Pupil Activity Contracts

    Recommend to approve the following Pupil Activity Contracts for the 2022-2023 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Compensation to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:

    • Jack Wolfe - Volunteer Varsity Boys Bowling
    • Timothy Clark Jr. - Volunteer 7th Grade Boys Basketball
    • Ryan Scribner - Head Varsity Boys & Girls Track

    8. * AGREEMENTS

    8.1 Revised Crawford County Health Department - Nursing Services

    Recommend to approve a revised agreement between the Galion City Board of Education and the Crawford County Health Department for the purpose of administering nursing services for the 2022-2023 school year, effective January 1, 2023.


    9. * FIELD TRIPS

    Recommend to approve the following Field Trips for the 2022-2023 school year:

    High School

    • March 20, 2023 - French class trip to French Restaurant, La Chatelaine, French Bakery and Bistro in Worthington, OH

    Intermediate School

    • January 5 and 6, 2023 - 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade PBIS incentive trip to the Tiger's Den Skating Rink in Galion.

    10. * INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

    Recommend to recognize Boy's and Girl's Indoor Track and Field as an authorized student team activity in the Galion City School District for the 2022-2023 school year.


    11. * PUBLIC NOTICE - 2023-2024 DISTRICT CALENDAR

    Recommend to hold a public hearing on the 2023-2024 Galion City Schools District Calendar and approve the first reading of the proposed calendar, as attached:


    12. * BOARD DESIGNATIONS

    12.1 President Pro-Tem Appointment

    Recommend the Board elect a President Pro-Tem for the Organizational Meeting in January, to lead the meeting until the Board elects a President for 2023.


    12.2 January 2023 Organizational & Regular Meetings

    Recommend the Board set the date of the Organizational Meeting of the Galion City Board of Education for Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 6:15 p.m. at the Galion Middle School Computer Lab. 

    Recommend the Board set the date of the Regular Board of Education meeting for January 10, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., to take place immediately following the Organizational Meeting on January 10, 2023, at the Galion Middle School Computer Lab.
