Recommend to approve an agreement between Galion City School District and Seneca-Crawford Area Transportation (SCAT) for the transportation of District students throughout the 2022-2023 school year.
Recommend to approve a resolution allowing the required Third Grade Assessments to be administered in a paper format for the 2022-2023 school year, as attached:
Semi-annual disbursement on June 30th and December 31st for meetings attended.
Discussion Items to the Board:
Recommend to accept the retirement resignation from Rodney Dean, Director of Building, Grounds & Transportation, effective June 30, 2022.
Recommend to accept the resignation of Paul Wheeler, Middle School Principal, effective at the end of the 2021-2022 contract year.
Recommend to approve the employment and issuance of a one-year teaching contract to Ann Pfister, Intervention Specialist, effective with the 2022-2023 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Salary to be based upon the Teacher's salary schedule for the 2022-2023 school year as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement.
Recommend to approve the employment and issuance of a one-year teaching contract to Nicole Pawsey, Elementary Teacher, effective with the 2022-2023 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Salary to be based upon the Teacher's salary schedule at Step 8 for the 2022-2023 school year as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement.
Recommend to approve compensation for the following Certified Staff for accompanying 6th grade students to Heartland Outdoor School and 8th grade students to Washington D.C.:
Recommend to accept the resignation of Connie Kiser, Cook, effective March 9, 2022.
Recommend to approve the employment of Brenda Stough, Cook, effective March 8, 2022, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2021-2022 school year.
Recommend to approve the employment of Mark Brooks, Bus Driver, effective March 14, 2022, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2021-2022 school year.
Recommend to approve employment of the following Classified Substitute Personnel, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position, for the 2021-2022 school year:
Recommend to approve Richard Eichhorn as a certified On Board Bus Driving Instructor for Galion City Schools for the 2021-2022 school year, to be paid at the rate of $22.92 per hour for up to 100 hours.
Recommend to approve the following Pupil Activity Contracts for the 2021-2022 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position. Salary to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:
