    Recommend to approve an agreement between Galion City School District and Seneca-Crawford Area Transportation (SCAT) for the transportation of District students throughout the 2022-2023 school year.

    6.1 Administrative

    Recommend to accept the retirement resignation from Rodney Dean, Director of Building, Grounds & Transportation, effective June 30, 2022.

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Paul Wheeler, Middle School Principal, effective at the end of the 2021-2022 contract year.


    6.2 Certified

    Recommend to approve the employment and issuance of a one-year teaching contract to Ann Pfister, Intervention Specialist, effective with the 2022-2023 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Salary to be based upon the Teacher's salary schedule for the 2022-2023 school year as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement.

    Recommend to approve the employment and issuance of a one-year teaching contract to Nicole Pawsey, Elementary Teacher, effective with the 2022-2023 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Salary to be based upon the Teacher's salary schedule at Step 8 for the 2022-2023 school year as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement.


    6.3 Extra Compensation for Certified Employees

    Recommend to approve compensation for the following Certified Staff for accompanying 6th grade students to Heartland Outdoor School and 8th grade students to Washington D.C.:

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Connie Kiser, Cook, effective March 9, 2022.

    Recommend to approve the employment of Brenda Stough, Cook, effective March 8, 2022, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2021-2022 school year.

    Recommend to approve the employment of Mark Brooks, Bus Driver, effective March 14, 2022, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2021-2022 school year.

    Recommend to approve employment of the following Classified Substitute Personnel, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position, for the 2021-2022 school year:

    6.5 Unclassified Support Staff

    Recommend to approve Richard Eichhorn as a certified On Board Bus Driving Instructor for Galion City Schools for the 2021-2022 school year, to be paid at the rate of $22.92 per hour for up to 100 hours.


    6.6 Pupil Activity Contracts

    Recommend to approve the following Pupil Activity Contracts for the 2021-2022 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position.  Salary to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:

    8.1 Field Trips for 2021-2022 School Year

    Recommend to approve the following Middle School field trips for the 2021-2022 school year:

    • May 20, 2022 - Tentative date for 7th grade trip to Columbus Zoo
    • Date TBD - 8th grade trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH

    Recommend to approve the following Intermediate School field trips for the 2021-2022 school year:

    • May 2022, Date TBD - Incentive trip for grades 3-5 to Altitude Trampoline Park in Ontario, OH
    • May 2022, Date TBD - Mrs. Garver and Ms. Altstadt's class trip to Little Buckeye Museum in Mansfield, OH
    • Date TBD - 3rd grade class trip to the Harvey School House in Bucyrus, OH

    Recommend to approve the following Primary School field trips for the 2021-2022 school year:

    • April 27 and 28, 2022 - Preschool trip to East of Chicago Pizza in Galion, OH
    • April 26 and 27, 2022 - Kindergarten trip to Lowe-Volk Park in Galion, OH
    • May 20, 2022 - 1st grade trip to Historic Uptown Galion
    • May 6, 2022 - 2nd grade trip to the Columbus Zoo
    • Cross Categorical class trip to Raemelton Equestrian Center in Mansfield, OH every Wednesday, starting March 16, 2022 through the end of the school year.

     


    8.2 Chaperones for Nashville, TN Band Trip

    Recommend to approve the following volunteer chaperones to attend the Band Trip to Nashville, TN on April 7-10, 2022:
