    3.4 Title I - Annual Notice

    The Galion City School District Board of Education enhances the educational program for educationally disadvantaged students with the use of federal funding. Title I funding ensures that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on Ohio's challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. A complete copy of Galion's Title I Services Policy 2261, Parents Participation in Title Programs Policy 2261.01, and Parent's Right to Know Policy 2261.02 are attached below:

    6. * SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATIONS- PERSONNEL

    6.1 Certified

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Michelle Brown, Intermediate School Intervention Specialist, effective 12/29/2021.


    6.2 Certified Extra-Duty

    Recommend to approve Ted Maglio as a Home Instruction Tutor for the 2021-2022 school year, at the rate of $20.00 per hour.


    6.3 Classified

    Recommend to approve the employment of Sarah Fraizer, Bus Driver, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 2 for the 2021-2022 school year.

    Recommend to approve the employment of Jessica Price, Educational Assistant, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2021-2022 school year.

    Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Roxann Ramsey, Bus Driver, effective July 31, 2022.


    7. * ADDENDUM ITEM - COVID PREMIUM/INCENTIVE FOR CERTIFIED/CLASSIFIED SUBSTITUTES

    Recommend to approve a COVID Premium for Substitute Teachers in the amount of $20 per each full day of work, to expire at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.

    Recommend to approve a COVID Incentive for Classified Substitute Personnel in the amount of $100 for every 10 full days (80 hours) worked, to be paid out twice a year, to expire at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.


    8. * 2022-2023 DISTRICT CALENDAR

    Recommend to approve the final read of the 2022-2023 Galion City Schools district calendar, as attached:


    9. * FIELD TRIPS

    Recommend to approve the following Middle School field trip:

    • February 25, 2022 - Snow Trails Incentive for qualifying students (no office referrals, passing all classes and no unexcused absences) in 6th, 7th and 8th grades, in Mansfield, OH

    10. * INDOOR TRACK & FIELD MEET

    Recommend to grant permission for Indoor Track Athletes to compete at the state championships held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, OH, date to be determined.

    An executive session is requested for one or more of the following matters to:
