    3.1 Donation - Galion Booster Clubs

    Recommend to accept $500 from Galion Booster Clubs for the benefit of Galion School District Campus wear Fund and for the Negative Lunch Balance Fund


    3.2 Donation - Galion Booster Clubs

    Recommend to accept donation of $450 from Galion Booster Clubs for the benefit of the National Honor Society.


    3.3 Donation - Galion PTO

    Recommend to accept donation of $200 from Galion PTO for benefit of the Galion Campus Wear Fund and the Negative Lunch Balance Fund.


    3.4 Donation - Exposure Marketing on behalf of Donley Ford

    Recommend to accept a $2570 donation from Exposure Marking on behalf of Donley Ford from the Drive 4 UR School event held on October 13, 2018.


    3.5 Donation - Cross Country Parents

    Recommend to accept a donation of $1350 from the Cross Country Parents, to go toward new Cross Country uniforms.


    3.6 Donation - Galion Booster Clubs

    Recommend to accept donation of $500 from Galion Booster Clubs for the benefit of the High School Wood Shop to purchase new tools.

    5.1 Certified

    Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale, per Negotiated Agreement, for Lindsey Gribble, Galion Primary School Teacher, from Bachelors to Bachelors + 12, effective November 27, 2018.

    Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale, per Negotiated Agreement, for Matt Dick, Galion High School Teacher, from Masters to Masters + 15, effective December 12, 2018.

    Recommend to approve the following personnel as Galion High School After School Reading Tutors for the 2018-2019 school year at the rate of $20.00 per hour, per the GEA Negotiated Agreement:

    5.2 Athletic Extra-Duty

    Recommend to approve the following Athletic Extra-Duty Assignments for the 2018-2019 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Compensation to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:

    • Dustin Harr - Volunteer 7th/8th Grade Assistant Wrestling Coach
    • Jessica Manley - Volunteer Varsity Assistant Swimming Coach

    6. BOARD OF EDUCATION RECOMMENDATIONS

    Recommend re-employment of James M. Grubbs as Superintendent, with a limited administrative effective January 7, 2019 through July 31, 2020.


    7. PUBLIC NOTICE - 2019-2020 DISTRICT CALENDAR

    Recommend to hold a public hearing on the 2019-2020 Galion City Schools District Calendar and approve the first reading of the proposed calendar, as attached.


    8. FIELD TRIP

    Recommend to approve the Galion High School Varsity Baseball Trip to Minford, OH on March 15-17, 2019.


    9. AGREEMENT

    Recommend to approve the attached agreement between the Galion City School District and The Center for Autism & Dyslexia (Catapult), for the purpose of providing specialized services to students in need, effective for the 2018-2019 school year, as attached:


    10. RESOLUTION TO TERMINATE SERVICE CONTRACT WITH MID-OHIO EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER

    12. BOARD DESIGNATIONS

    12.1 President Pro-Tem Appointment

    Recommend the Board elect a President Pro-Tem for the Organizational Meeting in January to lead the meeting until the Board elects a President for 2019.


    12.2 January 2019 Organizational & Regular Meetings

    Recommend the Board set the date of the Organizational Meeting of the Galion City Board of Education for Monday, January 14, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Galion Middle School Computer Lab.

    Recommend the Board set the date of the Regular Board of Education meeting for January 14, 2019, to take place immediately following the Organizational Meeting on January 14, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. at the Galion Middle School Computer Lab.
