    5. SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATIONS - PERSONNEL

    Approve the employment of the following personnel contingent upon subsequent receipt by the Board of a satisfactory criminal record check from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Federal Bureau of Investigation as required by law and applicable state certification:


    5.1 Administration

    Approve the employment of Natalie Siclair as District Technology Coordinator for Educational Programs and Professional Development, effective October 8, 2014. Salary to be based upon the District Technology Coordinator Payscale for the 2014-2015 school year. 

    Approve the employment of Steven Hammond as District Technology Coordinator for Systems and IT, effective October 6, 2014. Salary to be based upon the District Technology Coordinator Payscale for the 2014-2015 school year. 

    Approve the employment of James Myers as Transportation Coordinator, effective October 13, 2014. Salary to be based upon the District Transportation Coordinator Payscale for the 2014-2015 school year.


    5.2 ADDENDUM ITEM - Certified

    Approve Gina Redman for a continuing contract.

     

    Approve the employment of the following substitute teachers for the 2014-2015 school year:

    5.3 Classified Resignation

    Accept the retirement resignation of Kimberle A. Tucker as Payroll Supervisor, effective January 1, 2015.


    5.4 Classified

    Approve the employment of Deborah Furr as a 2.5 hour cook at the Galion Middle School, effective October 6, 2014. Salary to be based upon the Cook Payscale for the 2014-2015 school year.

    Approve Jacqueline Ernst as Sub Cook for the 2014-2015 school year.

    ADDENDUM ITEM - Approve Isaac A. Kilgore as Night Custodian at the Galion Intermediate School, effective October 20, 2014. Salary to be based upon the Custodian Payscale for the 2014-2015 school year.

    6. FINANCIAL RECOMMENDATIONS

    6.1 Authorize Payment - Apex Learning

    Authorize payment to Apex Learning for $3,750 due to deliquent generation of corresponding purchase order.


    6.2 Sale of 6 Cisco Wireless Access Point Units to NCOCC

    6.3 ADDENDUM ITEM - Five Year Forecast

    Approve the five year forecast and assumptions as submitted by the previous Treasurer. A conservative roll forward of those assumptions will be used to generate Fiscal Year 2019 data for compliance with the October 31, 2014 ORC 5705.391 reporting requirements.


    7. AGREEMENTS

    7.1 Wooster City School District

    Approve a contract for Pupils with Disabilities that are Galion resident students attending Wooster City School District through court placement in a residential facility for the 2014-2015 school year.


    7.2 Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District

    Approve a contract for Pupils with Disabilities that are Galion resident students attending Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District through court placement in a residential facility for the 2014-2015 school year.


    7.3 Property, Fleet, and Liability Insurance Premiums

    Approve purchasing property, liability, and auto/fleet insurance administered by Hylant Administrative Services, LLC as presented.


    7.4 ADDENDUM ITEM - Carolina Martinez Karaam

    Approve a Spanish Enrichment Service Contract between the Board of Education of Galion City School District and Carolina Martinez Karam for the 2014-2015 school year. This contract agrees to pay Ms. Karam an hourly rate of $20.00 for up to 764.5 hours over a 30 week period, not to exceed $15,290.00. Instructional Supplies will be reimbursed up to $2,330.00.  All disbursements to Ms. Karam concerning the Spanish Enrichment Services are to be paid from the Galion Community Education Foundation Grant .(019-9113)


    7.5 ADDENDUM ITEM - Special Education Reimbursement Agreement

    7.6 ADDENDUM ITEM - Bucyrus City School District

    Approve a contract for Non-handicapped Pupils that are Galion resident students attending Bucyrus City School District through open enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year.


    7.7 ADDENDUM ITEM - Northmor Local School District

    Approve a contract for Pupils with Disabilities that are Galion resident students attending Northmor Local School District through open enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year.


    8. ADDENDUM ITEM - BOARD BY-LAWS AND POLICIES

    Approve the second read of the Board Policy regarding the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System as attached.


    9. EXECUTIVE SESSION

    Enter Executive Session to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee.
