    3.1 Board of Education Meeting Minutes

    3.2 Donations

    Recommend to accept the donation of materials, time and personnel that equal the amount of $6,835, from KTB Metal Roofing & Exteriors for roof repairs to the Intermediate School.

    Recommend to approve sponsorships and accept donations from area businesses for Spooktacular, as attached:


    3.3 Superintendent's Recommendations - Administrative Personnel

    Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Katy Erlsten, Primary School Principal, effective at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.

    Recommend to approve a three-year Administrative contract effective August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2029 to Sam Staton as Primary School Principal.  Salary to be based upon the assigned position, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.


    3.4 Superintendent's Recommendations - Certified Personnel

    Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Bruce Weirich, High School Teacher, effective at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.

    Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Rhonda Evak, Primary School Teacher, effective at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.

    Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Cindy Conner, Primary School Teacher, effective May 31, 2026.


    3.5 Superintendent's Recommendations - Classified Personnel

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Zachary Fuhrer, Bus Driver, effective November 7, 2025.

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Matthew Husbands, Bus Mechanic, effective December 5, 2025.

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Jeanne Kuns, Secretary, effective June 9, 2026.

    Recommend to approve the employment of Phillip Parsons, Bus Driver, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2025-2026 school year.

    Recommend to approve the employment of McKenzie Baker, Educational Assistant, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 3 for the 2025-2026 school year.

    Recommend to approve employment of the following Classified Substitute Personnel, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position, for the 2025-2026 school year:

    • Ed Kincade - Substitute Custodian
    • Kristine Collier - Substitute Cook
    • Matthew Husbands - Substitute Bus Driver

    3.6 Superintendent's Recommendations - Certified Extra-Duty Personnel

    Recommend to approve the following Certified Extra-Duty Assignments for the 2025-2026 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Compensation to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:

    Middle School:

    Recommend to approve the attached Memorandum of Understanding between the Galion City School District Board of Education and the Galion Education Association to utilize a stipend to support the extra time required to support the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Program, as attached:

    • December 11, 2025 - 4th grade students to visit Roscoe Village in Coshocton, OH

    High School:

    • November 18, 2025 - Pre-Apprenticeship Field Trip to a factory in Mansfield, OH
    • December 2, 2025 - Group of 18 students to a Leadership Conference at Mid-Ohio ESC in Mansfield, OH
    • May 5, 2026 - Zoology students to the Columbus Zoo in Columbus, OH
