    Recommend to accept $2,500 from VFW Ohio Charities for Civil Air Patrol, receipt #250402

    Recommend to accept $5,000 from VFW Ohio Charities Post # 4329  for Civil Air Patrol - Uniforms, receipt #250427

    Recommend to accept $2,280 from Galion Schools Boosters Club for Student Passes, receipt #250437


    3.3 Superintendent's Recommendations - Certified Extra-Duty

    Recommend to approve the following Certified Extra-Duty Assignments for the 2024-2025 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Compensation to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:

    3.4 Superintendent's Recommendations - Substitute Teachers

    Recommend to approve employment of the following Substitute Teacher Personnel, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position, for the 2024-2025 school year:

    3.5 Board Bylaws and Policies

    Recommend to approve the First Read of the attached Board Bylaws and Policies:


    3.6 Roary the Tiger

    Recommend Roary to be the Voice of Galion City Schools.


    5. Five Year Forecast - November, 2024 - DRAFT

    6. * RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE AMOUNTS & RATES AS DETERMINED BY THE BUDGET COMMISSION & AUTHORIZING THE NECESSARY TAX RATES AND CERTIFYING THEM TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR

    7. * APPROVE RESIGNATIONS FOR RETIREMENT PURPOSES OF STAFF PERSONNEL

    Recommend to approve the resignation for retirement purposes of Charlene Parkinson, Treasurer, with effect December 31, 2024. The Board of Education is declaring their intent to hire Charlene Parkinson back as retire/rehire into her current position for calendar year 2025. There will be a public hearing for the purpose of discussing her return to the district as retire/rehire at the November 19, 2024 Regular Meeting of the Board of Education.


    8. EXECUTIVE SESSION

    An executive session is requested for one or more of the following matters to:
    _XX__a. consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official;
    _____ b. consider the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, "regulated individual," or student; unless the person being investigated of charges or complaints requests a public hearing;

    _____ g. consider details of security arrangements and emergency response protocols where disclosure might reveal information that could reasonably be expected to jeopardize the District's security;
    _____ h. consider confidential information related to the marketing plans, specific business strategy, production techniques, trade secrets, or personal financial statements of an applicant for economic development assistance or negotiations with other politics subdivisions regarding requests for economic development assistance (provided statutory conditions are met).

    Recommend to approve a contract with Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center to conduct the Galion City School District's Treasurer Search. Contract to include services for job posting, application review, first round interviews, and reference check on finalist at no charge to the District.
