    Recommend to accept the resignation of Nikki Fagan, Middle School Secretary, effective March 20, 2024.

    Recommend to approve employment of the following Classified Substitute Personnel, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position, for the 2023-2024 school year:

    • Erin McKitrick - Substitute Custodian
    • Trevor Tallman - Substitute Bus Driver

    Recommend to approve the employment of Tara Middleton, Educational Assistant, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2023-2024 school year.

    Recommend to approve the employment of Samanda Anderson, Educational Assistant, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2023-2024 school year.

    Recommend to approve the employment of Saira Carpenter, Educational Assistant, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2023-2024 school year.

    Recommend to approve the employment of Megan Nulk, Educational Assistant, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2023-2024 school year.

    Recommend to approve the employment of Matthew Husbands, Mechanic, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 10 for the 2023-2024 school year.

    Recommend to approve the employment of Mindy Sinclair, Secretary, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2023-2024 school year.

    Recommend to approve a resolution allowing the required Third Grade Assessments to be administered in a paper format for the 2024-2025 school year, as attached:

    Recommend to approve the following field trips for the 2023-2024 school year:

    • May 6, 2024 - 2nd grade class trip to Columbus Zoo
    • May 20, 2024 - 1st grade class trip to Historic Galion
    • May 7 and May 8 - Preschool classes to East of Chicago, Galion, OH
    • May, Date TBD - High School Zoology Class to the Columbus Zoo

    3.7 2024 Athletic Summer Camps

    Recommend to approve the following Athletic Summer Camps:

    • July 12-19, 2024 - Volleyball Team to attend Matchpoint Camp in Myrtle Beach, SC
    • June 12-14, 2024 - Boys Basketball Team to attend Eastern Ohio Basketball Camp in Sherrodsville, OH

    3.8 OAPSE - Middle School Secretary MOU

    Recommend to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the Galion Board of Education and Ohio Association of Public School Employees, regarding the reduction of working days for the Middle School Secretary position, as attached:
