Recommend to accept $9,800.00 from the Boyd Foundation for needs at Unckrich Stadium and Varsity Soccer Field (receipt # 230065).
Recommend to accept $2,000.00 from the Galion PTO for Elementary Teacher Supplies (receipt # 230080).
Recommend to accept $1,112.00 from the Galion Booster Club for Soccer Field Flag Pole (receipt # 230064).
Recommend to accept $500.00 from Lubrication Specialities for Galion Boys Basketball (receipt # 230124).
Recommend to accept $1,416.04 from Avita Health Systems for Athletic Training Supplies (receipt # 230169).

Recommend to approve sponsorship and accept donations for Spooktacular, an annual Trick or Treating event held on October 27, 2022 at the Galion Middle School. This event is a great extension of our school’s character education program, The Leader in Me. It provides students with opportunities to show leadership, build community relationships, and also make the transition from elementary school easier for students and families. In order to make the Spooktacular a success, we have reached out to area businesses to be part of this event as sponsors.
WHEREAS, the Ohio Revised Code, Section 4511.191, (L)(2)(e), currently known as the DUI Law, established the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Grants Fund to be housed and administered by the Office of the Attorney General of Ohio; and
WHEREAS, the primary purpose of the D.A.R.E. Grants Program is to assist in providing funds to local law enforcement agencies, specifically for the salaries of certified D.A.R.E. officers teaching, or planning to teach, the approved D.A.R.E. curriculum in the local schools; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Galion City Board of Education to avail ourselves of the opportunities provided by this program and to participate with complete commitment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Galion City Board of Education, Galion, Ohio the majority of all members elected or appointed thereto concurring that:
Section 1: The Galion City Board of Education supports all efforts by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department to pursue funding to implement the D.A.R.E. Program in the Galion City Schools.
Recommend to approve the agreement between the Galion City Schools and The Impact Group for the 2022-2023 school year, as attached:

Recommend to approve an agreement between the Galion City School District and North Central State College, for the purpose of providing higher education opportunities to qualified learners within the District, effective the 2022-2023 school year, as attached:

Recommend to approve the employment of Heidi Perry, Middle School Educational Assistant, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2022-2023 school year.
Recommend to approve the employment of Angela Owens, High School Secretary II, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2022-2023 school year.
Recommend to approve the employment of Mavis Mallory, Bus Driver, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 10 for the 2022-2023 school year.
Recommend to approve the employment of Leslie Ramey, Part Time Bus Driver, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule at Step 0 for the 2022-2023 school year.
Recommend to approve employment of the following Classified Substitute Personnel, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position, for the 2022-2023 school year:
Recommend to accept the resignation of James Sparks, Bus Driver, effective August 19, 2022.
Recommend to accept the resignation of Dave Kirk as Head Varsity Track Coach for the 22-23 school year
Recommend to accept the resignation of Katie Davis as Sophomore Class Advisor for the 22-23 school year.

Recommend to approve the following Pupil Activity Contracts for the 2022-2023 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position. Compensation to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:
