    3.2 Donations

    Recommend to accept $500 from Gerald Bosler, Hall of Fame Class of 2021, to support Galion School System Facilities

    Recommend to accept $60,000 from Egbert Freese Fund via City of Galion as financial support for new fence project at Unckrich Stadium

    Recommend to accept $10,000 from Horace Freese Fund to support security cameras for Unckrich Stadium.


    3.3 Resolution - Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA)

    Recommend to adopt the resolution authorizing membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association for the 2022-2023 school year, as attached:

    Recommend to approve participation in open enrollment with school districts throughout the State of Ohio for the 2022-2023 school year.

    6. * SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATIONS- PERSONNEL

    6.1 Certified

    Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale for Claudia Riedy, High School Teacher, from Bachelors to Bachelors + 12, pro-rated and effective with the fourteenth pay of the current contract year, per Article X of the Negotiated Agreement.

    Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale for Elizabeth Volz, Primary School Teacher, from Bachelors to Bachelors + 12, pro-rated and effective with the fourteenth pay of the current contract year, per Article X of the Negotiated Agreement.

    Recommend to approve a change of placement on the pay scale for Madison Skinner, Primary School Teacher, from Bachelors to Bachelors + 12, pro-rated and effective with the fourteenth pay of the current contract year, per Article X of the Negotiated Agreement.

    Recommend to accept the retirement resignation for Monica Shifley, Primary School Teacher, effective September 30, 2022.

    Recommend to accept the resignation for Nicci Lambright, High School Teacher, effective at the end of the 2021-2022 contract year.


    6.2 Certified Extra-Duty

    Recommend to approve the following Certified Extra-Duty Assignments for the 2021-2022 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Compensation to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:

    • Isaac Keinath - Varsity Assistant Baseball
    • Amy Keller - Freshman Assistant Softball
    • Elizabeth Volz - Middle School Assistant Track
    • Cindy Conner - Middle School Assistant Track

    6.3 Classified

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Randall Padilla, Intermediate School Custodian, effective February 4, 2022.

    Recommend to approve the employment of the following employees, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule for the 2021-2022 school year:

    • Loretta Jeffries - 2.5 Hour Cook, Step 0
    • Isaac Kilgore - Intermediate School Custodian, Step 6

    Recommend to approve employment of the following Classified Substitute Personnel, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position, for the 2021-2022 school year:

    • Hannah Risch - Substitute Secretary, Substitute Educational Assistant, Substitute Cook
    • Christina Parsley - Substitute Custodian

     


    6.4 Pupil Activity Contracts

    Recommend to approve the following Pupil Activity Contracts for the 2021-2022 school year, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements as applicable to the position.  Salary to be based upon the Extra-Duty Pay Schedule as defined in the GEA Negotiated Agreement, if applicable:

    • Cross Country Team to attend the "Camp of Champs" at Camp Glenn in Tiffin, OH from July 28 through August 2, 2022

    Recommend to cancel the Board of Education Work Session, scheduled for March 1, 2022 at 6:30 p.m.
