    3.1 October 19, 2021 Regular Board of Education Meeting Minutes and November 1, 2021 Special Board of Education Meeting Minutes

    3.2 Donations

    Recommend to accept new winter for coats for children in need from Cozy Coats for Kids.

    Recommend to accept $500 from Galion Youth Football to the Athletic Department.

    Recommend to accept $85 from Coach Richard Predmore and family to the Athletic Department to sponsor the "Zachary Trophy."  This is the 30th year the Predmore family has sponsored the "Zachary Trophy."

    Recommend to accept the donation of calculators, worth $1812, from Galion Building & Loan to each Galion Middle School sixth grade student.  This is the 30th year the organization has made the donation to Galion's sixth grade students.

    Recommend to accept the donation of a 2013 MTI trailer (Recycling Trailer), Model # MWST6X12SA, Original Purchase Price - $3,200 from the Galion Elementary PTO.


    3.3 Fundraiser

    Recommend to approve a fund-raiser for the Junior Class, selling products from Crossroads.  All orders will be placed online and the proceeds will benefit the Junior Class to go towards purchases for  Prom.


    4. * TREASURER'S REPORT

    4.1 October 2021 Financial Statements

    4.2 Resolution Accepting the Amounts & Rates as Determined by the Budget Commission & Authorizing the Necessary Tax Rates and Certifying them to the County Auditor

    WHEREAS the Budget Commission of Crawford County, Ohio, has received the necessary tax information from all political subdivisions for the next succeeding fiscal year commencing January 1, 2022; and

    WHEREAS the Budget Commission of Crawford County, Ohio, has received from each entity the necessary information to establish said rates; and

    WHEREAS the Budget Commission of Crawford County, Ohio, has certified its action thereon to this political subdivision together with an estimate by the County Auditor of the rate of each tax necessary to be levied by this political subdivision and what part thereof is without, and what part within, the ten mill limitation;

    THEREFORE be it resolved by Galion City School District that the amounts and rates, as determined by the Budget Commission in its certification, be and the same are hereby accepted; and

    THEREFORE be it further resolved that there be and is hereby levied on the tax duplicate of said County the rate if each tax necessary to be levied within and without the ten mill limitation as indicated above; and

    NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Galion City School District approved said rates on November 16, 2021.

    6.1 Certified

    Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Donna Shipley, Intermediate School Teacher, effective May 31, 2022.

    Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Cheryl Walter, Primary School Teacher, effective at the end of the 21-22 school year.


    6.2 Certified Extra-Duty

    Recommend to approve the following as a Home Instruction Tutor for the 2021-2022 school year, at the rate of $20.00 per hour:

    6.3 Classified

    Recommend to approve the employment of Jeffery "Josh" McKee, District Maintenance, contingent upon state certification and/or requirements applicable to the position.  Employment terms to be based upon Article 4 of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Galion City Schools Board of Education and OAPSE Local #370 Salary Schedule for the 2021-2022 school year.

    Recommend to accept the resignation of Katrina Sipes, Full Time Bus Driver, effective October 25, 2021.

    Recommend to accept the retirement resignation of Kathryn Alguire, Intermediate School Secretary, effective July 1, 2022.

    8. * 2022 ATHLETIC SUMMER CAMPS

    Recommend to approve the following Athletic Summer Camps:

    • Volleyball team to attend a Team Competition camp July 8-15, 2022, Matchpoint Team Camp in Myrtle Beach, SC.  The trip will run through the Volleyball Parents Club.
    • Wrestling team to attend Virginia Beach National Duals in Virginia Beach, Va from May 27-31, 2022.  The trip will run through the Wrestling Parents Club.

    An executive session is requested for one or more of the following matters to:
