    2. EXECUTIVE SESSION

    6. SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATIONS - PERSONNEL

    Approve the employment of the following personnel contingent upon subsequent receipt by the Board of a satisfactory criminal record check from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Federal Bureau of Investigation as required by law and applicable state certification:

    6.1 Certified

    Approve the employment of Michelle R. Talbott as a 4th Grade Teacher at Galion Intermediate School, effective the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. Salary to be based upon the Teacher pay scale for the 2015-2016 school year.

    Approve the employment of Todd Galownia as an Intervention Specialist at the Galion High School, effective the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. Salary to be based upon the Teacher pay scale for the 2015-2016 school year. 

    Approve the following Tutors as Auxilliary Service Program Enrichment Tutors for students at St. Joesph School for the 2015-2016 school year at a rate of $20.00 per hour to be paid from the Auxillary Service Funds:

    6.2 ADDENDUM ITEM: Preschool Educational Assistants

    Approve the creation of two Preschool Educational Assistant positions.  These positions will replace  two positions that are currently part of a contracted services agreement.


    6.3 Classified

    Approve the reclassification/employment of Amy Heydinger as Educational Assistant at the Galion Middle School, effective the start of the 2015-2016 school year. Salary to be based upon the Educational Assistant pay scale for the 2015-2016 school year.

    Approve the employment of Christina M. Wright as Bus Driver, effective the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. Salary to be based upon the Bus Driver pay scale for the 2015-2016 school year.

    Addendum Item - Approve the employment of Andrew M. Starr as Bus Driver, effective the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. Salary to be based upon the Bus Driver pay scale for the 2015-2016 school year.

    7. AGREEMENTS

    7.1 Galion Board of Health

    Approve attached agreement with the Galion Board of Health for the Health Services Contract for Fiscal Year 2016


    7.2 Colonel Crawford Local Board of Education

    Approve a contract for Pupils with Disabilities that are Galion resident students attending Colonel Crawford Local School District through open enrollment:


    7.3 Professional Photographer

    Approve a one year agreement with Anatra Graphic Art, Inc., professional photographers, to provide exclusive services as presented and based on specific package pricing. Professional photography companies will donate a percent of sales to the district.


    7.4 North Central Educational Service Center

    Approve the attached contract with North Central Educational Service Center for Hearing Impaired Services for the 2015-2016 school year:


    8. CODE OF CONDUCT REVISION

    Consider approval of the revised Extra- and Co-curricular Code of Conduct.


    9. ADDENDUM ITEM: STADIUM RENOVATION FUND

    Consider an increase to Galion City School District's investment amount for the Stadium Renovation Projects.

     

    Approved additional $20,000 contribution to the City of Galion / Freese Foundation Stadium Rennovation Project


    10. RESOLUTION - MIDDLE SCHOOL CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION WAIVER

    Approve a resolution to exercise the 2015-2016 waiver offered by the Ohio Department of Education for the Middle School Career Technical Education (CTE) Program.

     

    *awaiting the official Waiver template from the Ohio Department of Education.  Boards are instructed to act on the resolution, then fill out the appropriate documentation once released by ODE.


    11. 2015-2016 MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT HANDBOOK

    Approve the 2015-2016 Middle School Student Handbook as attached:


    12. SCHOOL BUS STOPS 2015-2016

    Approve the school bus stops/routes for the 2015-2016 school year as recommeded by the Superintendent and further authorize the Superintendent to make revisions as needed throughout the school year.


    13. BOARD BY-LAWS AND POLICIES

    Approve the attached Board Policies:


    14. COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT - OHIO ASSOCIATION OF PUBLIC SCHOOL EMPLOYEES LOCAL #370

    Tabled:  Awaiting ratification by OAPSE membership.

    Approve a one year Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Ohio Association of Public School Employees Local #370 from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.
