    5. SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATIONS - PERSONNEL

    Approve the employment of the following personnel contingent upon subsequent receipt by the Board of a satisfactory criminal record check from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Federal Bureau of Investigation as required by law and applicable state certification:


    5.1 Addendum Item - Administrative Retirement Resignation

    Accept the retirement resignation of Sandra K. Powell, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Federal Grants, effective the end of her contractual year, July 31, 2015.


    5.2 Administrative

    Approve the employment of Trent Porter as Assistant Technology Coordinator, effective February 3, 2015. Salary to based upon the Assistant Technology Coordinator Payscale for 2014-2015 school year.


    5.3 Certified

    Approve a change of placement on the payscale to Molly Fairchild, Spanish Teacher at Galion High School, from Bachelors to Bachelors + 12, effective January 12, 2015.

    Approve Cathy George as Substitute Teacher for the 2014-2015 school year.

    Addendum Item - Approve Krista McKibben to be paid $1800 for teaching two dual enrollment full-year classes (Advanced Math and Calculus) in cooperation with North Central State College for the 2014-2015 school year.


    5.4 Addendum Item - Classified Resignations

    Accept the retirement resignation of Jeraldine K. Deffendoll, Special Education Secretary, effective July 1, 2015.

    Accept the resignation of Susan Sparks, 2.5 hour Cook at Primary School, effective March 6, 2015.


    5.5 Classified

    Approve Cathy George as Substitute Educational Assistant and Para-Professional Tutor for the 2014-2015 school year.

    Addendum Item - Approve Susan Sparks as 3 hour Cook at Primary School, effective March 9, 2015. Salary to be based upon the Cook Payscale for 2014-2015 school year.

    Addendum Item - Approve Heather R. Kurtz as Part Time Transportation Secretary I, effective February 17, 2015. Salary to be based upon the Part Time Transportation Secretary I Payscale for 2014-2015.


    5.6 Extra-Duty Assignments

    Approve Paul Gladden as Middle School Track Coach for the 2014-2015 school year.

    Addendum Items - Approve the following Extra-Duty Assignments for the 2014-2015 school year:

    Molly Fairchild, High School Student Council

    Krista McKibben, Credit Recovery Math

    Ted Maglio, Credit Recovery Science

    Cay Faulkner, Credit Recovery English

     


    6. AGREEMENTS

    6.1 Rader Environmental Services, Inc.

    Approve an agreement with Rader Environmental Services, Inc. for the handling and disposal of obsolete chemicals from the Galion High School. Total cost not to exceed $3,250.00
